Gardner Oil and Gas LLC (GOG) Was formed in 2010 by Eric and Catherine Gardner. GOG was formed to invest working interest capital in oil and gas drilling opportunities. In addition to investing in opportunities, GOG now provides geoscience consulting services and prospect generation to the upstream oil and gas industry.
The President of the Company, Eric Gardner, has 36 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. After graduating from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Physics, Eric began his career as a geophysicist with Amoco Production Company. During his 9 years at Amoco, Eric explored for oil and gas both domestically and internationally, in both technical and leadership roles. Eric left Amoco to join 3DX Technologies, a start-up E&P company specializing in bringing major oil company 3-D seismic expertise to the independent oil and gas world. He was instrumental in growing 3DX Technologies to a point where it was sold to Esenjay Exploration. With Esenjay, Eric had both technical and leadership roles where he generated drilling opportunities and led the exploration effort in SE Texas and Louisiana. Esenjay Exploration was sold to Santos, where Eric became the Core Area Exploration Manager. In this role he acted as a "player coach", leading the exploration effort and acting as the project geoscientist on numerous projects. After a brief time with Forest Oil exploring in the Gulf of Mexico, Eric returned to the reformed Esenjay Petroleum where he was both the VP of Exploration and the primary generator in the Frio trend of South Texas. During his career, Eric has worked in all aspects of exploration from research to development. He has caused over 100 wells to be drilled, which have resulted in the discovery of over 300 BCFE of reserves. Eric has been a top notch explorer and leader of exploration programs. Eric is a member of SEG, AAPG, SIPES, RMAG, HGS, GSH, and is a licensed Texas Geoscientist.
